Even when society says No?

When I have no skin to show?

Even if I'm overweight?
Can you say I'm graceful?
Even If I develop late?

Can you call me gorgeous?
When my face is plain?
Can you say I'm cute?
Even if I have a brain?

Can you call me lovely?
Even If I speak my mind?
Can you say I'm dazzling?
If I'm socially not refined?

Can you call me attractive?
Even if my eyes don't glow?

If my skin isn't as pale as snow?

I shouldn't have woken up that morning- I had taken so many pills the night before, Each of them forced painfully down my throat, And eventually sloshing inside of my stomach I wrote my final statements to the world, I clipped a playing card onto my door as a final goodbye, And by then I was far beyond ready to be gone forever ...But then I woke up that morning, And the devastation I felt couldn't be put into enough words, My plan for peace and escape had failed when it wasn't supposed to I told it was going to be okay constantly after that, But now I'm starting to think again... That maybe I had the right idea first after all Because now I'm being forced to live a life, And a dream that isn't mine anymore, And Everything about me is so badly broken by forces out of my control I can't put myself back together anymore I wish I hadn't woken up that morning

I've went most of my life (so far) never thinking that I was beautiful. It never particularly bothered me, but I never thought once that I was physically beautiful. Luckily, I didn't really care, but I know a lot of girls do. I wish people wouldn't focus so much on physical appearances when choosing who to date or not. Of course Physical Appearance is important, but I think people need to explore their options more. A girl who is "less" physically attractive might have an amazing personality, or might have amazing talent. The girl who was "less" pretty might be the person who changes the world. Beauty truly does come from the inside~
